Imaging Services Now Open – Including after-hour X-ray and OPG
Barwon Medical Imaging (BMI) is pleased to announce the opening of its brand new imaging facility at Barwon Health North, Norlane.
No-Out-Pocket Costs
As with all BMI imaging there are no out-of-pocket costs for imaging that can be rebated through Medicare, with imaging bulk-billed.
Comprehensive Imaging Service
BMI Barwon Health North provides a comprehensive imaging service located within the community including x-ray, OPG, ultrasound and CT, whilst also supporting imaging for patients attending the Barwon Health Urgent Care Centre.
MRI is planned for the future with an MRI suite ready for installation of a scanner.
In a first for the Geelong Region, access to imaging will also be available for community patients on evenings (5:00pm – 9:45pm) and weekends (2:00pm – 9:45pm) – initially for x-ray & OPG only.
Our commitment to high quality low dose imaging
Barwon Health North is a purpose built imaging facility with brand new high quality low dose X-ray, CT, OPG and Ultrasound systems.
This enables greater flexibility and improved access to paediatric imaging, which has previously been preferentially booked at University Hospital Geelong.
